Are your bindings limp? Are your corners too curvy? Would you like them to straighten up? If so, take this binding technique class featuring four techniques. Learn how to make the perfect French Fold binding, including mitering, turning corners and the perfect ending (including hand stitching). Create and sew a binding entirely on the machine (no hand sewing) with a Piping Binding. You will love this! We also tackle Bias bindings so you’ll know why, how and when to use them. And, when you need your binding to be invisible, the Gallery Binding is your answer.

The Fractured Paintbox was designed as a beginner pattern to introduce quilters paper piecing! The project is fast, uses only one foundation block, employs simple cutting techniques, and is an affordable and fun way to jump into your first paper piecing project! In theory, this is introduced as a ‘scrap quilt’, but don’t feel you can’t use a set color scheme or line of fabrics. Several techniques will be used in the construction of the quilt, with emphasis on chain piecing. Part of the fun to this quilt is giving suggestions for other possible layouts.

You’ve finished your top—now what to do? This class is about the basics of Machine Quilting, both walking foot and free motion quilting and is excellent for beginning quilters—or quilters who would like to improve their skills.

“Wake Up Cup” This class is an introduction to the technique “Material Matrix”, developed by Sandra Bruce and is inspired by the painter, Chuck Close. You will use the photo of the cup provided to you, and pick fabrics to turn the photo into your own interpretation. The supply list is easy and short, and you will learn something completely different! It’s wonky, and is a freeing piecing process. This quilt looks complicated, but it's deceptively simple! It's also a great pattern for showing off those favorite prints that you just can't bear to cut into tiny pieces. This quilt works well with fat quarters.

A great,fun class that will use your jelly roll remains or any collection of strips you have accumulated or want to cut. The size of the strip will determine the size of your finished top, the method works the same! A bit like a bargello you have great movement. Learn tips and tricks in dealing with strips and strata with a dramatic and fun outcome.

This is a project/pattern that originated after the disaster of 9/11. It has become a very popular class among new and experienced quilters. You will learn to do raw edge applique, free motion quilting on a very manageable scale, curved piecing and quilt as you go. If your plan is to do 9 hearts, this project can be completed, including the two color binding, within the allotted class time. Choose a color theme or it can be all scrappy. It comes out great every time!
